ITS 400th BIRTHDAY!

THAT’S WHERE IT’S HAPPENING!
Vibrate to the rhythm of the festivities at L’Espace
400 e erected at the Louise Basin in the heart of the
Old Port of Québec www.monquebec2008.com.
Visit the Passagers exhibition (June 3 to October
19), a tribute to the city and its inhabitants, and
Les Jardins éphémères from June 10 to September
28, temporary works imagined by artists from
Québec and elsewhere. Then, from June 20 to
July 29, admire the eagerly awaited Moulin à
images, an immense projection on the Bunge grain
elevator, a work by Robert Lepage and Ex Machina.
On August 15, attend Le Chemin qui marche at
the Baie de Beauport, a sound and light show in
tribute to the St. Lawrence River (1 866 585-2008).
PROMENADE WITH A VIEW
Admire the river on Promenade Samuel-De
Champlain, a park five kilometres long laid out
along the St. Lawrence River and Boulevard

Champlain with a bicycle path, hiking trails,
relaxation areas and sports facilities. Happiness is

ARTS AND LIFE
From June 5 to October 26, 2008, the Musée national
des beaux-arts du Québec offers you the masterpieces

qc.ca. The Musée de la civilisation, among other
exhibits, plays host to the visionary vegetable garden
installation event “Le Potager des visionnaires” a
creation by Franco Dragone, from June 6 to October

URBAN FESTIVITIES
Rediscover the Quartier Saint-Roch! Completely
restored, it offers lovely boutiques and several
trendy restaurants. Then, return to Quartier Petit-
Champlain, a maze of ateliers and colourful boutiques
